Peerless
Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Gun of the Latvian Army. Ca 1935.
A Latvian section of anti-aircraft self-propelled
artillery parade near the town of Skulte, Latvia, ca. 1935. This section
consisted of two trucks Peerless 4-ton, each carrying a QF 13-pdr 9 cwt, Mk. IV
mounting (*).
Although these anti-aircraft guns were declared obsolete for service in the British Army in 1921, the Canadian, Dutch and Latvian armies continued using it for several years.
During the First World War, the British Army mounted preferentially the anti-aircraft guns, on trucks Thornycroft Type 'J'' 3-ton or on American Peerless 4-ton trucks.

camión Peerless del Ejército Letón. Ca. 1935.
Una sección
de artillería antiaérea autopropulsada letona desfila cerca de la localidad de
Skulte, Letonia, ca. 1935. Esta sección estaba compuesta de dos camiones
Peerless de 4-ton, portando cada uno de ellos un cañón de tiro rápido (QF) de
13 libras (13-pdr) y 9 quintales (cwt),
en montaje Tipo 4 (Mk. IV) (*).
Aunque
estos cañones antiaéreos fueron declarados obsoletos para el servicio en el
ejército británico en 1921, los ejércitos canadiense, holandés y letón los
siguieron utilizando durante bastantes años más.
Durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, el ejército británico montó sus cañones antiaéreos, de manera preferente, sobre camiones Thornycroft Tipo
'J' de 3-ton o sobre camiones americanos Peerless de 4 toneladas.
